The Brazilian art director myth: sun-kissed kid with a talent for painting decided to live off art as a grown-up.

Yes, that's the other Marcello; Serpa. As for me, I was born in the industrial area of São Paulo and became an electrician at 16. Later, at engineering school (even though my vocational test resulted in meteorology), I felt that all these numbers just made more sense in vibrant Pantone shades and dazzling RGB spectrums. This way I finally set my sights in advertising, a profession I knew would allow me to embrace different disciplines while learning from each of them.

After university, I began my career in a few indie agencies in Brazil. Seeking further growth, I obtained my postgraduate degree at "La Escuelita" in Argentina while interning at TBWA. This experience led me to Ecuador, where I sharped my craft at renowned agencies like Publicis and Y&R.

A decade of experience later and all that remote working period made a sabbatical mandatory. I followed my bloodline to the art mecca of the world where I can now call myself an Italian-Brazilian Art Director. It has been a bumpy path and I do have the talent for art. So, if you're looking for a creative+art director combo with a BIG luggage of ideas, I am ready to showcase my skills.
